2- General Data Processing Information
Purposes of Processing and Legal Basis
The contest is open only for European startups. The personal data of entrepreneurs and other representatives of the startups will be processed through surveymonkey.com for the control of application criteria, the acceptance of applications and for the communication during the contest with the legal basis “processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller”.
The personal data of entrepreneurs and other representatives of the winner startup will be processed for providing the awards and be shared with the startup name and image via social media channels such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter etc. and ICterra website if they will give consent.
Categories of Recipients of Personal Data and Transfers to Third Countries
The personal data of entrepreneurs and other representatives will be processed via surveymonkey.com, which ICterra Germany and ICterra Turkey gets corporate information technology infrastructure services. As indicated above, the personal data of startups and other representatives applying the contest will be transferred to ICterra Turkey parent company of ICterra Germany for the purpose of evaluation of applications and announcement of the winner. Data erasure and storage period
Any data collected directly by ICterra Germany and ICterra Turkey as parent company will be deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for storing it no longer applies, or data subjects requests from ICterra Germany and ICterra Turkey to delete it. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
ICterra has no influence on the storage period of any of personal data which is stored by the digital platform operators such as surveymonkey.com for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators directly.
3- Rights of Data Subject
Data subjects have the following rights against the data controller in context of GDPR:
Right to be informed
Within the scope of Art. 15 of the GDPR and the analogous provisions pursuant to applicable data protection legislation, data subjects are entitled to request information about their data that is being processed by ICterra Germany.
Right to rectification
If personal data of the data subject is incorrect or incomplete, she/he is entitled, within the scope of Art. 16 of the GDPR and the analogous provisions pursuant to applicable data protection legislation, to have any incorrect personal data concerning her/his to be rectified and/or to have incomplete personal data completed.
Right to restrict processing
Within the scope of Art. 18 of the GDPR and the analogous provisions pursuant to applicable data protection legislation, if the legal conditions are met, data subject may request that processing of her/his personal data be restricted.
Right to deletion
Within the scope of Art. 17 of the GDPR and the analogous provisions pursuant to applicable data protection legislation, data subject may at any time request that her/his personal data be deleted, provided ICterra Germany is not legally obliged or entitled to further process her/his data.
Right to data portability
Within the scope of Art. 20 of the GDPR and the analogous provisions pursuant to applicable data protection legislation, data subjects have the right to receive the personal data concerning data subject with which data subjects has provided ICterra Germany in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to transmit this date to another controller.
Right to object
Within the scope of Art. 21 of the GDPR and the analogous provisions pursuant to applicable data protection legislation, data subjects have the right to object to the processing of their data for direct marketing or profiling purposes. They may object to processing on the basis of an assessment of interests, stating the reasons arising from their particular situation.
Right to withdraw declaration of consent under data protection law
Data subjects have the right to withdraw their declaration of consent to the processing of personal data at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on their consent before its withdrawal.
